As one lays on her deathbed,
She is deathly ill.
She is pale.
She is cold.
She is weak.
She is... dying.
She looks all around her.
The little wooden hut she lived in for more than 25 years will just disappear in a few moments.
Like in a slide show presentation.
The way they make words appear and disappear.
Appear, disappear, appear, disappear...
As she blinks her eyes, she sees her life flashing before her.
She was an orphan.
Abandoned.
And she was adopted.
But neglected.
She ran away from what she had called 'home'.
Someone had offered her a job at the age of 17.
She became a janitor in a nearby school.
The students laughed and mocked at her.
She bears with that job for 47 years.
She manages to get a wooden hut.
She marries a man.
One that gambles.
Is unfaithful.
She had children.
She divorced after that.
Her children abandon her on her 42th birthday.
So now she stays alone.
Isolated in the world.
These pass quickly before her eyes.
Soon, time began to jump back to life.
She finds herself on her deathbed.
She wants to get off this Earth.
She wants to get off this Earth NOW.
Then for the last time, she blinks.
Appear, disappear.
She is gone.
